Our Team

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer

Cai has a background in Molecular Bioengineering from Imperial College London. During his time at university, he led a 9-month project to design a paper-based microfluidic device for detecting antibiotic-resistant bacteria in low-resource areas. He has also spent 4 weeks working for TReND in Africa, a charity that supports the development of academic research institutions throughout Africa.

His motivation to create a sustainable future using biotechnology led him to co-found Multus Media to shorten routes to market and lower entry barriers in the cultivated meat industry.

Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer

Reka has a degree in Biological Sciences specialising in Microbiology from Imperial College London. She has a background in regenerative medicine working on synthetic cardiac tissue as a research assistant in Prof Sian Harding’s group, and in synthetic biology improving genetic stability of cyanobacteria in Dr Patrik Jones’s group. She has wide ranging experiences around operations with over 2 years as Head of European Operations at Circling Europe.

Being dedicated to making a positive impact in the world motivated her to unlock the cultivated meat industry through targeting the critical bottleneck of growth media through Multus Media.

Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer

Kevin Pan is a biochemist and an engineer with extensive experience in computer science, automation and biomedical regulations. Prior to his study at Imperial College London, he received his biomedical engineering degree (Dipl.-HTL-Ing.) with distinction from TGM in Austria, during which he had been very active in a wide spectrum of domains such as data science, robotics and cyber defence. With the rise of recent advancements in synthetic biology, he decided to return to school and undertake a Biochemistry course at Imperial College London, while working as a research assistant for Dr. Reiko Tanaka’s group at Biological Control Systems Lab. His research focuses on mathematical modelling of regulatory mechanisms against pathological agents in inflammatory diseases.

In 2018, he co-founded Multus Media, a group of talented scientists and engineers working on a low-cost, serum-free growth media that will help the cellular agriculture industry to succeed.

Research Scientist, Synthetic Biology

Brandon has a background in biochemistry at Imperial College London with a specialization in structural biology from working on structural elucidation of PRELI-TRIAP complex in Prof Steve Matthews Lab as well as extensive experience in protein biology.

He is leading the micrbobiological R&D within Multus Media and is currently focusing on using synthetic biology and expression engineering to drive down the cost of growth media.

Soraya Padilla
Research Scientist, Cell Biology

Soraya has expertise in cell culture, specifically optimising growth conditions of different cell lines. She is passionate about working towards the development of new platforms to improve large-scale cell culture in order to help solving key challenges around the cultivated meat industry.

Cristina Guzman-moumtzis
Research Scientist, Cell Biology

Cristina has expertise in biomedical engineering, specifically on improving cell growth through computational methods. She is passionate about solving problems in areas with large global impact. She believes that the possibilities of cultivated meat provide endless opportunities to help minimize disease and increase nutrient intake, something people living in impoverished regions need.

Research Associate

Jenny has background in Biological Sciences, she specialised on Ecology while developing expertise in Microbiology.
She believes that there is a future of a more humane meat industry and she is dedicated to work towards that.
